Today I finished student teaching. I cleaned up the classroom made some copies and locked the door for the last time. Then I started to cry. i will miss my students so much. They were a joy to teach and I was able to build a great relationship with them in such a short time.
I was able to help 32 students who were failing raise their grades to A's (minus a few stragglers) these students are classified as the troubled students with behavior problems but by the middle of the ten week period we had a great relationship. During meetings teachers mentioned their names as students who would not work, participate or constant disruptions. I just smiled and said to myself, these are my favorite students, they add spice to my classroom. The trick is to take them under your wing and show them that you care.
My other 120 students were fabulous as well. They kept me on my toes, did all that they were assigned and were a teachers dream (minus a few who I am relieved to say goodbye to). I love teaching, it is a lot of work, a huge time commitment, an energy zapper, very frustrating, and also very rewarding. Now I just need to find a opening fun for me : )

I love this picture.
She looked so cute in her dress. It was a bit big for her so i might have to modify the size but it sure was fun making it.
We love Chloe so much!!!
I sure will miss the Nutty Putty Cave. I have had some great times down there in the birth canal ... it is a tight squeeze but a blast. it is just awful about the man that died there last week. The things we young people do for fun...

I borrowed these pics so you can see how fun it used to be
Chloe is so so cute and small. We all just love her way to go Chels and Ryan : ). Bre, Cynthia and I have been hanging out with Carter and Mason the last few days. We have had a great time playing and going to the corn maze.

We were in the maze for 2.5 hours. It was fun while it lasted. Trying to get out of the maze was the trouble. We spent thirty minutes trying to find a way out. We gave up and cut through the maze to a main road. Lots of people followed us. he he he

I prefer to make a gift rather than buy one. It is fun for me and no one else in the world will have the exact same thing. I created this little number last night for a shower I have to go to on Saturday. It was so fun and easy to come up with a design that is unlike anything I've ever seen. I loved it so much I am thinking about starting my own ETSY store. It will be interesting to see if I actually do it. However, it would be a blast and a littler nerve racking to see if others like my style. I was thinking C.Moo as a title so cute : ) Probably might not happen but you never know.

The skirt is my next step. I have to put a few rows of pin tucking in and then I need to cut the skirt in half to add a lace insert. I have been surprised at how fast the dress has come together.
I am not sure I would call it a heirloom but regardless Chels has allowed me to make her daughters blessing dress. I am so excited I hope they like it. This is the bodice of the dress. I am smocking on top of pleated fabric. I have completed 22 rows and only have 10 more until I will be done smoking the dress. I figure that it takes me about one hour per two rows so the smoking will take me a combine total of 16 hours. My mom says thats about right. My next step will be to cut out the neck and arm holes. However, I am a litle nervous about cutting out some my stitches.
This is a not so great picture of the finished product. The baby doesn't really give it justice. It is really long 32 inches(I think). It has a ton of pin tucking and a few lace or ribbon inserts along the bottom of the skirt( Think that is my favorite part). Did I mention I am way excited to make this :) thanks Chels
p.s if you hate it or its not your style don't hesitate to tell me
I was looking at a green mag and found an article about cloth diapers. (I know this is crazy cause I have no kids or anything) however, I sent four hours at work looking at some sweet ideas for cloth diapers. Well I am sold on the g-diaper. it can be part disposable or completely cloth. the great thing is that is only spends 50 days on a land fill vs the 500 years a regular diaper needs to decompose. and in the long run it is a ton cheaper (if you go with the full cloth inserts). They are also really cute.
