Today I finished student teaching. I cleaned up the classroom made some copies and locked the door for the last time. Then I started to cry. i will miss my students so much. They were a joy to teach and I was able to build a great relationship with them in such a short time.

I was able to help 32 students who were failing raise their grades to A's (minus a few stragglers) these students are classified as the troubled students with behavior problems but by the middle of the ten week period we had a great relationship. During meetings teachers mentioned their names as students who would not work, participate or constant disruptions. I just smiled and said to myself, these are my favorite students, they add spice to my classroom. The trick is to take them under your wing and show them that you care.

My other 120 students were fabulous as well. They kept me on my toes, did all that they were assigned and were a teachers dream (minus a few who I am relieved to say goodbye to). I love teaching, it is a lot of work, a huge time commitment, an energy zapper, very frustrating, and also very rewarding. Now I just need to find a opening fun for me : )

So that's where you have been lately... I've been wondering what you have been up to! I'm sure you're nothing less than the best teacher ever! Does this mean that you now have time to catch up with your old Snow buddy?

If all teachers could have your attitude, education as we know it would take off! Good luck to you.

By the way, I love your wedding picture at the top. So classy.
